Virtual Nobodies

Grit meets gospel in the desert. Virtual Nobodies is a coastal desert rock band born from the friction between belonging and rebellion, longing and letting go. Helmed by Jeremiah Gray and Xavier Valdez, with Lyle Mauricio on lead guitar and Sam Campbell on drums, the Virtual Nobodies blend cinematic Americana with modern grit — a detour through the Mojave with nothing but a Telecaster and a prayer. Guided by legendary producer Niko Bolas (Neil Young/Prince), their debut album is set for release October 2026, with songs featuring the esteemed Perla Batalla (Leonard Cohen) on backing vocals, Waddy Wachtel (Stevie Nicks) on guitar, and Jesse Siebenberg (Sturgill Simpson) on steel and piano. They were recently featured in LA Living Magazine as one of their 2026 game changers. They have had their music spotlighted by NPR Tiny Desk, with a live choral arrangement of their song Lovebirds featuring Linda McCrary of the McCrarys (Michael Jackson/Stevie Wonder). Virtual Nobodies' song Circus Zoo was featured in the award winning film 'Pretty in Red', winning 7 film festival awards for best original song. The band recently supported rock band 'A Flock of Seagulls' during their Southern California run. From dusty highways to neon-soaked dive bars, Virtual Nobodies channel the spirit of outsiders with something to prove. With anthemic melodies and a stage presence that towers like a dusty cathedral, this isn’t just a band —it’s a resurrection.
