Yann Loisel

Born on an island on the French Atlantic coast, Yann Loisel grew up listening to Reggae, Blues, Jazz and Hip Hop. These early musical influences shaped his interpretation of Roots Reggae. His groove-based and clean composition are leaving the vibes and energy as the main drivers of his music, underpinning his committed and spiritual influenced lyrics. Backed by the band Roots Republic, he is currently to be seen live on German stages, and he is preparing the release of a series of singles to be released in Spring 2026. His eclectic work has helped Yann Loisel to gain a solid reputation in the German Reggae scene and to get attention from national and international radio stations and media like Reggaeville, Reactor 105.7 (Mexico), Riddim Mag and DLF Kultur (Germany) among others. Starting with his very roots debut album "Upon The Road" (2022), recorded at Planet Earth Studio with the help of internationally renowned musicians and technicians, Yann Loisel diversified his sound with his latest releases, adding a more modern touch to his raw style. His unique style led him to various collaborations around the world and to numerous concerts, carrying his energy and cheerful vibes on stage from Berlin’s underground club landscape to Indonesian block parties in Jakarta.
