You Nico

Jazz-rooted. Groove-driven. Global sounds. YOU NICO is a DJ, selector and producer driven by a deep-rooted passion for music, where instinct, research and culture meet. Born in Puglia and shaped by a new Milanese soul, his musical identity is rooted in jazz, soul, funk and hip-hop, while constantly reaching towards global sounds and cosmopolitan vibrations. More than simply playing records, YOU NICO approaches music as a selector: searching, listening, connecting and choosing sounds that carry meaning, character and history. His collection of more than 3,000 records reflects this philosophy. Built through years of research and exploration, it moves freely across genres, eras and geographies, from rare grooves and jazz-infused rhythms to world music, Caribbean influences and the raw energy of international club culture. In his sets, every record becomes part of a larger story, creating journeys where the unexpected can coexist with a strong sense of groove and musical identity. The same spirit defines his work as a producer. His sound is shaped by eclectic beats, samples, jazz and funk harmonies, and a constant dialogue between the legacy of hip-hop and contemporary forms of expression. For YOU NICO, being a selector is not simply about choosing the next record. It is about knowing why that record matters, where it comes from, and where it can take you.
