Zak Abel

Zak Abel is a British singer-songwriter and producer known for his soulful voice and genre-blending style that fuses pop, soul, country and electronic music. Since his breakout collaborations in the mid-2010s, he has continued to evolve as both a solo artist and a sought-after collaborator. In early 2025, Zak Abel released “Home” (January 17) and “My Way” (April 25), marking his return to solo work after his 2023 album Love Over Fear. These tracks, produced with Robin Stjernberg and Ollie Green, showcase his emotive songwriting and vocal prowess. On June 6, Abel released a poignant duet titled “Brother To Me” withfellow British singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis. The song delves into themes of mental health and male vulnerability. Abel’s ongoing collaboration with Norwegian DJ Kygo has produced several notable tracks. In April 2024, they released “For Life,” featuring Nile Rodgers, amassing over 125m streams in its first year of release. This followed their earlier collaboration on “Freedom” in 2020, part of Kygo’s Golden Hour album. Abel joined Kygo on stage throughout the Kygo World Tour, performing both “For Life” and “Freedom” in over 25 countries. Other notable shows for Zak include performing at the King’s coronation concert. Beyond his solo work, Zak Abel has contributed as a songwriter and featured artist on various projects.
