Zaphira is a swiss symphonic metal band where metal power and strength meets symphonic clearness and elegance, all this underlined by a female vocalist with soul and jazz influences will let you step into a new world where you will get atonished, fascinated and get your feelings hypnotized. Strong musical lines and mystical lyrics will let you step into the World of Zaphira. New thoughts and unexpected perceptions will make you think you have entered a dream. The World of Zaphira offers power, mystic, timeless emotions and a new outlook on melancholic memories, carried along their way by the harmonic and symphonic notes. Founded at the end of 2011 by Andreas (Keyboards) and Mikaela (Vocals) in Zurich, the band was complete when Fabian (Guitar), Timo (Bass) and Alex “Black Cat” (Drums) joined the band soon after. In 2013 the first Demo-EP “Temptation” was released and Zaphira played several shows in Switzerland, Italy and Austria. In 2015 the band decided to disband and after almost 8 years Andi and Mikaela decided to bring Zaphira back to life with a new set up. Jakob (Guitar), David (Bass) and Beni (Drums) joined the band in 2023 . In 2025 Zaphira released their brand new song WASTELAND and is currently working on their new album.
