Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s iconic musical, Oliver!, which he has fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne, brings Dickens’ popular story to life at the Gielgud Theatre. This Olivier, Tony, and Oscar-winning masterpiece features a sensational score including classics like Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, and As Long As He Needs Me. The production is designed by Lez Brotherston with lighting by Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs. Oliver! began its performances in London in December 2024. The cast features Simon Lipkin as Fagin, Shanay Holmes as Nancy, Aaron Sidwell as Bill Sikes, Billy Jenkins as the Artful Dodger, and Philip Franks as Mr Brownlow. Orchestrations by William David Brohn have been adapted by Stephen Metcalfe under the music supervision of Graham Hurman.
