Hina Oikawa brings her large ensemble jazz project Short Songs to Queens, merging modern improvisation with classical Japanese tanka poetry. The concert showcases music from her debut album along with Voices of a Hundred Poets, a new suite drawing inspiration from the historic Ogura Hyakunin Isshu waka anthology.
