SLADEK is a soul band centered around singer and guitarist David Sladek, bassist Alvis Reid, and drummer Bernhard Sorger. Since their formation in 2019, they have carved out a distinct place in the music scene. Their sound blends infectious R&B melodies with deep neo-soul influences. With their 2024 EP Loveless, the group explored a new direction inspired by late sixties soul, leading to their 2025 album Things Gotta Change. Recorded using analog techniques for an authentic and timeless feel, the band is known for captivating live performances that bring the emotional depth and rhythmic power of soul music to life. For their stage shows, the core trio is expanded with Taineh on keys and backing vocals and Gloria Handler on percussion.
