tension/release returns for our second open studio night, inviting NYC's emerging techno talent and local collectives to explore the intersection of sound, identity, and feeling. We're opening the doors to Newtown Radio's underground space for a night of hypnotic, hardgroove, and industrial techno. Expect each artist to bring their own unique craft and storytelling to the decks. This is more than just a party—it's a space for techno creatives to meet, connect, and build meaningful relationships across the local scene. Built by and centered on queer & FLINTA* artists from NYC and beyond, we maintain a platform focused on consent, care, and respect both on and off the air. Community safety is a priority; we hold a zero-tolerance policy for hate or discrimination. Visitors unable to maintain a respectful environment will be asked to leave.
