Award-winning saxophonist Tony Kofi, who first gained prominence in the 1990s as a member of The Jazz Warriors and Nu Troop, brings his full-bodied sound and committed attack to the stage. Kofi has performed with international jazz legends such as Billy Higgins and Clifford Jarvis, and his quartet was famously lauded for performing the complete works of Thelonious Monk. A versatile musician of international standing, he was the first UK-born artist to join David Murray’s World Saxophone Quartet and has received multiple awards, including BBC Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year and Parliamentary Jazz Awards for Best Ensemble.
