Wat begint als een luisterervaring, ontvouwt zich tot een rave in het Muziekgebouw. Ter gelegenheid van de 150e verjaardag van componist Maurice Ravel krijgt zijn wereldberoemde Bolero een radicale make-over. Nieuwe arrangementen, een herontdekte jazzversie uit 1929 en trance-achtige elektronische beats transformeren het stuk tot een mix van orkest, jazz, elektronica en techno. Het Franse collectief Les Apaches! verweeft klassiek materiaal met jazz en hedendaagse elektronische ritmes. Meeslepende 3D-projecties laten dansers met virtuele landschappen samensmelten tot een audiovisuele ervaring. Een live set van de Frans-Kameroense dj Tatyana Jane zet het feest voort.
