American-born Mexican singer, songwriter, and actor Pepe Aguilar was raised in Zacatecas, Mexico, by his musical legend parents, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre. He made his recording debut at Madison Square Garden at just five years old. After a brief foray into rock with his band Equs, Aguilar found international success blending traditional tejano and mariachi with his own pop style. His landmark album Por Mujeres Como Tu spent 52 consecutive weeks on the Billboard charts and sold over two million copies. Throughout his prolific career, he has produced for artists like Julieta Venegas and won four Grammy Awards.
