To mark the 250th anniversary of Friedrich Klinger’s play Sturm und Drang, Ian Page and The Mozartists present a dynamic and highly-charged programme. The movement, which swept through literature, art and music in the 1760s and 1770s, is celebrated through works by Kraus, Gluck, Jommelli, Traetta, and Mozart, culminating in Haydn’s celebrated and dramatic ‘Farewell’ Symphony.
