Pond return with their 11th record, Terrestrials, offering a cyclone of urgent rock'n'roll that blends 80s Australiana with eyeliner-stained post-punk. Conceived as "Goths at the pub," the album mines open-sky melancholia and jangling pub backrooms, acid-washing iconic Oz rock sounds with influences like Sisters of Mercy and Magazine. Formed in 2008 in Perth, the group consists of Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Joe Ryan, Jamie Terry, and James Ireland. Known for their prolific output and psych-rock roots, the band continues to evolve their stylistic north star while squarely facing the here and now.
