S. Carey is the musical project of Sean Carey, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, widely known as the drummer, backing vocalist, and longest-serving member of Bon Iver. Over more than a decade, he has built a solo career centered around themes of nature, sustainability, and jazz-influenced songwriting. His release Watercress follows a diverse discography of full-length albums and EPs, alongside notable collaborations with artists like John Raymond and Bizhiki. Carey has also contributed to work by Sufjan Stevens, Low, and others, continuing a 15-year touring tradition with his band of long-time collaborators.
