Van de intense ritmes in Piazzolla’s Tangazo tot de jazzinvloeden in Gershwins Drie Preludes, elke compositie laat een andere kant van deze instrumenten horen. Het concert culmineert in de overweldigende slotpassage van Mahlers Tweede Symfonie.
