An underground, raw dhrupad night.
An evening exploring the rich historical connection between Berlin and the Indian Dhrupad tradition to mark the conclusion of the „ErzählStoff“ exhibition. Featuring the presentation of archival Dhrupad recordings and manuscripts from the Ethnological Museum Berlin, an English-language lecture and book presentation by ethnomusicologist Prof. Francesca Cassio, and a live musical performance of traditional Dagar and Gurbani dhrupads accompanied by Parminder Singh Bhamra on the pakhawaj drum.
