An uplifting, underground disco night.
Volta45 invites Joe Davis, founder of Far Out Recordings, for another deep session tracing the musical links between Africa and Brazil. Joe Davis has spent over three decades championing Brazilian music, building Far Out Recordings into one of the most prominent labels for Brazilian music outside of Brazil, with releases from legendary artists such as Azymuth, Marcos Valle, and Arthur Verocai. Joining him is Volta45, a Ghanaian-born, London-based DJ and record collector whose selections connect music from across Africa, South America, and the French Caribbean. Expect an eclectic journey through Brazilian jazz, samba, funk, and MPB meeting highlife, Afrobeat, and sounds from across the wider diaspora.
