The festival opening night presents Bohuslav Martinů's Cello Concerto No. 1 performed in two different historical versions in a single evening. Cellists Petr Nouzovský and Vilém Vlček perform the solo parts alongside the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under conductor Robert Kružík. The program opens with the Overture for Orchestra H 345 and includes the ceremonial launch of a new volume of the Complete Critical Edition of the Works of Bohuslav Martinů.
