Deaf Rave Festival
An underground, homegrown electronic night.
Deaf Rave Festival returns in 2026 for a special Halloween-themed event designed for d/Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent children, teenagers, and families. This inclusive day features music and live performances showcasing community talent, alongside a variety of activities including a pet corner with exotic creatures, cinema screenings of d/Deaf films, and arts and crafts workshops for mask and bracelet making. Visitors can enjoy a treasure hunt, magic shows, a pop-up arcade, and a bouncing castle. Special features include the Woojer Vibrating Zone where attendees can experience vibrating vests, and DJ workshops using tactile technology. For parents, the festival offers exhibition stalls from over 10 supporting organisations, cafes, and specialized tech rooms. The entire multi-complex building is designed as a safe, accessible space with sign language volunteers and appropriate signage throughout.
