Dutch Jazz Heritage: ode aan Gerry Mulligan
With the Dutch Jazz Heritage series, the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw puts the spotlight on legendary (Dutch) jazz moments and artists, in collaboration with the Dutch Jazz Archive. During this concert, the orchestra dives into the work of baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan. Mulligan's 1960 performance with his thirteen-piece Concert Jazz Band at the Concertgebouw remains a landmark triumph. To honour this legacy, the orchestra has invited leading baritone saxophonist Jan Menu to perform.
