The Ocean & Psychonaut
A gritty, underground progressive metal night.
The Ocean returns to Romania for a concert in Bucharest alongside Psychonaut and The Devil's Trade. The well-known collective returns this time with a new lineup and a new record titled Solaris. The Ocean's new era is marked by the release of Solaris, a nearly 70-minute work that combines dystopian sci-fi storytelling with existential contemplation. The album features new vocalists Lane Shi and Enrico Tiberi alongside founding guitarist Robin Staps. The music explores themes of technological progress, self-destruction, and the psychological cost of exploration. Psychonaut is a leading force in contemporary heavy music, known for their post-metal and progressive sounds. Their latest work, World Maker, reflects a shift toward more personal life lessons and themes of love and legacy. The band has performed at major festivals across Europe and shares a label with The Ocean. The Devil's Trade is the solo project of Hungarian singer-songwriter Makó Dávid. Having evolved from acoustic folk roots into darker post-metal territory, the project released its fifth studio album, Nincs Szennyezetlen Szép, in late 2025. The work is described as their most complex and intense to date.
