Ebony Steel Band
A nostalgic, uplifting steelpan night.
Established in 1969, Ebony Steel Band is a pioneering force in the European steelpan scene. As one of the UK's earliest steel bands, they have built a legendary reputation, including 23 victories at the National Panorama competition during the Notting Hill Carnival. Under the leadership of Augustine 'Pepe' Francis MBE, the band continues to promote the Caribbean cultural heritage of steelpan music. Known for their artistic expression and community engagement, Ebony has collaborated with renowned arrangers like Annise 'Halfers' Hadeed and features instruments crafted by master tuner Dudley Dickson.
