Talib Kweli is an American hip hop artist from Brooklyn, New York, known for his intelligent and socially conscious lyrical style. Emerging from the underground scene in the mid-1990s, he gained widespread recognition as one half of the duo Black Star alongside Mos Def and for his collaboration with producer Hi-Tek in Reflection Eternal. His solo career took off in 2002 with the release of Quality, featuring the hit single Get By.
