A nostalgic, underground baroque night.
The Sweelinck Baroque Orchestra, composed of students from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam specializing in authentic performance practice, presents a versatile program of three late-Baroque contemporaries. The evening begins with Johann Friedrich Fasch's elegant Concerto in D, a work that bridges the gap between Baroque and Classical periods with its prominent brass. The program also features Christoph Graupner's expressive cantata Aus der Tiefen rufen wir and Georg Philipp Telemann's imaginative Die Donner-Ode, inspired by the 1755 Lisbon earthquake.

The Sweelinck Barokorkest, led by Antoinette Lohmann, will be performing.
