Their collaboration began with a concert in Ban's hometown in Transylvania, leading to the critically acclaimed live album Transylvanian Concert released by ECM Records in 2013. This performance follows their newest ECM release, Transylvanian Dance, which continues their exploration of jazz informed by Romanian folk and a gothic atmosphere.
