Multimedia artist and composer Nour Sokhon presents Beirut Birds (طيور بيروت), a live performance shaped by her research on migration, displacement, and instability in Lebanon. The project translates interviews and field recordings into sonic compositions. The performance features voices from diasporic communities interwoven with Sokhon’s vocal processing and field recordings from Lebanon and Germany. Her improvisations on classical piano blend with electronics, synthesizers, and percussion, accompanied by visuals of Beirut and avian migration. This concert is presented as a double-bill with Wafaa Saied.
The concert features a double-bill performance by Nour Sokhon and Wafaa Saied.
