Bassist, composer, and producer Max Gerl leads a performance featuring a lineup of musical friends. Originally from Dallas and a Berklee College of Music alumnus, Gerl has become a prominent figure in the Los Angeles jazz scene. He has performed at major international festivals and collaborated with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Makaya McCraven, and Stanley Clarke. His work includes solo bass recordings and fusion projects that pay tribute to legends like Weather Report and The Headhunters. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit a local charity.
