Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner CBE, known professionally as Sting, is a renowned English musician and songwriter who rose to fame as the frontman of the new wave group The Police. After the band's peak in the late 70s and early 80s, Sting launched a prolific solo career starting with jazz-influenced arrangements on his debut album. Throughout his decades in the industry, he has explored diverse sounds from rock and pop to reggae and jazz, earning numerous accolades including sixteen Grammy Awards and multiple Brit Awards. Beyond his music, he is recognized for his extensive humanitarian work and activism. He is joined for this performance by the rock band Fiction Plane.
