Los Angeles duo Automatic brings their sharp, minimalist sound to Rotown in Rotterdam. Drawing on psych-pop, deep basslines, and a cool pulse, their music blends wave, punk, dub, and funk into a stripped-back but urgent style. Known for the direct, bass-heavy track Too Much Money, the band has expanded their emotional range on the album Is It Now?. Produced by Loren Humphrey, the record maintains their core echoing drums and taut rhythms while exploring darker pop territory. The band’s name is a tribute to the Go-Go’s song Automatic, linking them back to the rich history of Los Angeles music.
