Nationaal Cello Concours: Eerste Ronde
An underground, nostalgic classical night.
Het spannendste onderdeel van de Cello Biënnale. Na een voorselectie krijgen vijftien jonge cellotalenten de kans zich in drie rondes te presenteren aan een internationale jury. In de gratis toegankelijke Eerste Ronde spelen alle vijftien deelnemers verplichte stukken van Giovanni Battista Cirri en David Popper. Ook klinkt er modern werk van de Nederlandse componiste Karmit Fadael. De jury bestaat uit gerenommeerde internationale musici.

Is there an entry fee for the first round of the competition?+
Admission to the first round of the National Cello Competition is free of charge.
What repertoire will the participants perform?+
Participants perform mandatory works by Giovanni Battista Cirri and David Popper, alongside a contemporary piece by Dutch composer Karmit Fadael.
Where does the competition take place?+
The event is hosted at the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ on Piet Heinkade 1 in Amsterdam.
