A raw jazz night.
Guitarist Charles Altura and trumpeter Jeremy Pelt unite for an all-star contemporary jazz performance at SFJAZZ. Tickets on Mood.
Curated as part of Terence Blanchard’s UpSwing series, this performance pairs two acclaimed California-born jazz luminaries. Bay Area native and two-time Grammy nominee Charles Altura brings his fluid guitar artistry to the stage, drawing on his extensive background with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, and Blanchard's E-Collective. Trumpeter Jeremy Pelt celebrates over two decades as a bandleader with selections from his recent release 'Our Community Will Not Be Erased', joined by a rhythm section featuring pianist Orrin Evans, bassist Buster Williams, and drummer Lenny White.
