A member of the Baye Fall section of the Mouride brotherhood, his music is a cosmopolitan blend of reggae, afrobeat, and traditional sounds. With four decades of musical experience, Cheikh LA's style revisits Cuban songs, Congolese classics, and the traditional music of Burkina Faso, creating a rhythmic Creole dance style. His unique voice, which can range from high-pitched and graceful to deep afrobeat bass lines, has led him to collaborate with legends like Tony Allen. Doors open at 19:30.
