Since forming in the Maryland scene in the late 1970s, Wino has been a central figure in defining the contours of American doom metal. After stints in Saint Vitus and Spirit Caravan, Wino reformed The Obsessed in 2016. Their 2024 album 'Gilded Sorrow' showcases the band as a revitalized quartet, delivering a sound that is more direct and aggressive while remaining faithful to their monolithic, psychedelic-tinged heavy metal roots. The show promises an intense performance from a living legend of the doom scene.
