David Leighton, Solo Piano Concert Season
A nostalgic classical night.
Pianist David Leighton presents a three-concert solo piano series at Cary Hall in The DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Across a fifty-year career launched after graduating from Juilliard at 19, Leighton served on the Metropolitan Opera musical staff and collaborated with artists including Luciano Pavarotti and Beverly Sills. The series opening performance features compositions by Bach and Chopin alongside Rachmaninoff's Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 36.
