Na een indrukwekkende show in 2025 komt Hippotraktor terug naar De Kroepoekfabriek met hun nieuwe album Annihilist. De band sloeg bij hun debuut Meridian (2021) in als een meteoriet in de progressieve metalscene. Ze bouwen een ‘wall of sound’ met gelaagde gitaren en complexe polyritmische drums, waarbij ze massieve riffs combineren met ritmische finesse. Support komt van Turpentine Valley. Tien jaar na hun ontstaan klinkt dit trio donkerder en vastberadener dan ooit. Op hun derde plaat Veuel (2026) brengen ze instrumentale post-metal die nu eens compromisloos massief en dan weer melancholisch klinkt.
