After a period in punk and psychobilly, they returned to their roots to form Son Rompe Pera, a band that blends the traditional marimba with a punk ethos. Their self-described genre, cumbia punk, delivers a rebellious and energetic fusion known for sparking marimba moshpits. Their 2023 album 'Chimborazo' features an eclectic mix of cumbia, psychedelic guitars, dub, and hip-hop.
