The Anansi Writers Workshop was founded in 1990 by Kamau Daáood, Akilah Oliver, Nafis Nabawi, and Anthony Lyons. In 1993, Michael Datcher initiated the development of the workshop into its current format, fostering a creative community for writers to develop their craft.
