Stephane Wrembel is one of the most prominent interpreters of Django Reinhardt’s music in North America. Whether following original arrangements or exploring new territory, Wrembel treats the French master’s work with serious compositional depth. Wrembel's achievements include scoring the theme for Midnight in Paris, performing at the 2012 Academy Awards, and headlining at Carnegie Hall. While his style is rooted in Gypsy Swing, his weekly sets also feature original compositions influenced by Pink Floyd, Ravel, and Middle Eastern music. Stephane performs at Barbès nearly every Sunday.
