When Slum Village emerged in the late 1990s, the Detroit trio of T3, Baatin, and Jay Dee introduced a fluid group dynamic that saw members come and go throughout their evolution. The group has experienced several lineup changes since their debut, with producer Jay Dee departing after their first national album to pursue a solo career. Today, the legacy of the influential hip-hop trio is maintained by T3 and Grammy-nominated producer Young RJ, who bring invigorated energy to the group's longest-running lineup. Known for their roots in the Detroit underground scene and collaborations with artists like Kanye West and John Legend, they continue to release new music and perform worldwide.
