Emile Hinton Trio

Award-winning jazz pianist and composer Emile Hinton leads his trio, emerging from the heart of the London jazz scene. A mentee of Julian Joseph and winner of the 2023 Tina May Young Jazz Musician of the Year, Hinton has performed with legends like Ricky Ford and Jean Toussaint at venues including Ronnie Scott’s and The Barbican. He is joined by drummer Kai MacRae, a Royal Academy of Music graduate who has worked with Stan Sulzmann and Alex Hitchcock, and bassist Toby Yapp, who performs regularly at the Jazz Café and Vortex. Together they bring a sophisticated and thoughtful approach to modern jazz.
