World-renowned pianist Angela Hewitt returns to Muziekgebouw, bringing her celebrated Bach interpretations alongside works by Chopin. Hewitt explores the Polish composer’s folkloric mazurkas, the grand Fantaisie, and the dramatic Second Scherzo. The program opens with sonatas by Italian Baroque composer Domenico Scarlatti, highlighting the original music he composed in Spain. Known for her brilliant articulation and dynamic phrasing, Hewitt promises a sparkling performance that bridges the Baroque elegance of Scarlatti and Bach with the Romantic depth of Chopin.
