An underground, slow-burn ambient jazz night.
SML brings live jazz, electronics and hypnotic groove to BIRD for a seated concert. The five-piece band from Los Angeles takes jazz into a physical space where texture and rhythm take precedence over solos. Their debut album Small Medium Large and latest release How You Been showcase a sound described by Pitchfork as a new chapter in jazz. After performing at major global festivals, the group brings their sharp live energy and exploratory grooves to Rotterdam.
