The seventh edition of the Imperial Christmas Gala brings the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna to the Romanian Athenaeum for a festive celebration of Viennese elegance. The ensemble, recognized globally for its authentic interpretation of the imperial era's musical charm, will perform iconic works including famous waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss II alongside other masterpieces of Viennese classical music. Over approximately 90 minutes, the concert aims to transform the venue into a palace of sound, blending tradition and virtuosity. Peter Hosek, manager of the orchestra, notes that this recurring December visit to Bucharest has become a beloved tradition, honoring a sophisticated and receptive audience with the distinct, homogeneous sound and stylistic precision that defines the group.
