Experience meditative choral and chamber works by John Tavener and Arvo Pärt performed by Vox Clamantis and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra. Tickets on Mood.
A contemplative musical journey exploring layers of stillness, sacred text, and the passage of time through the works of John Tavener and Arvo Pärt. The programme features Tavener's meditative composition Towards Silence, scored for four string quartets and a Tibetan singing bowl, interspersed with reflective a cappella choral pieces by Pärt. The music transitions through meditative states reflecting mysticism, Eastern philosophy, and Eastern Orthodox tradition, performed by vocal ensemble Vox Clamantis alongside quartets from the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra under conductor Jaan-Eik Tulve.
