A women’s circle of remembrance, lineage, and belonging with Adela Bustamante. Rooted in Ecuadorian lineage and the sacred observance of Día de los Difuntos, this evening is an invitation to honor beloved dead and explore the lives, traditions, and stories carried forward. Together, participants create a community altar with photographs, flowers, and objects of remembrance, sharing cacao, drumming, and singing. The gathering makes room for the complexity of lineage including tenderness, silences, grief, joy, and distance from homelands. Participants are invited to bring a photograph or small remembrance for the community altar.
