SONANCE NO.1 is a 30-minute musical performance featuring Jazmin Jazzy Romero & Friends, composed for an audience of humans and plants. Plants are invited to occupy seats alongside human audience members, and guests may bring their favorite plant to share the audience with a gathering of living plants. The work considers how sound can participate in the life of another organism and what it means to listen alongside another species.
