Christine Zayed and her trio present a world music concert exploring classical Arabic maqam and Palestinian poetry. Central to the project is an in-depth exploration of the Qanoun, a versatile melodic and percussive instrument. The performance blends traditional Levantine songs with diverse global influences, creating a universal language of connection rooted in Palestinian identity. Zayed is accompanied by flutist Sylvain Barou, who integrates Celtic and Indian traditions, and percussionist Habib Meftah, known for his South Iranian rhythmic expertise.
