Suzanne Vega & Richard Barone
A nostalgic, slow-burn singer-songwriter night.
Suzanne Nadine Vega is an American songwriter and singer originally from Santa Monica, California, who has been active since 1982. A graduate of New York's High School of Performing Arts and Barnard College, she began performing on the local circuit before signing a record deal in 1984. Her self-titled debut album was released in 1985 to critical acclaim and has sold nearly two million copies. Her follow-up, Solitude Standing, reached #11 on the Billboard charts and featured the hits Tom's Diner and Luka. Known as the Mother of the MP3 due to her vocals being used as a reference for the compression format, Vega has consistently released music and toured throughout her career.
