The Psychedelic Furs are a post-punk and new wave alternative rock band from London, England, formed in 1977. Led by the distinctive vocals of Richard Butler and the bass lines of Tim Butler, the band rose to fame during the emerging punk scene. They achieved widespread success in the 1980s with hits like "Pretty In Pink," which inspired the John Hughes film of the same name. After a decade-long hiatus starting in the early 90s, the band reformed in 2000 and continues to perform their tight, saxophone-infused rock for fans worldwide.
